Yule Ball? With all of this non-stop studying, I forgot that we were going to be having a Yule Ball! If I were part of a less insane family, this might have been a problem, since I would have nothing to wear. But apparently my mother knew even before I got a hint, and sent me some nice dress robes. Isn't that lovely? And I'm quite happy that the Yule Ball is being held here, because this is the perfect place for it; Durmstrang is beautiful this time of year!

On another note, I think this cold weather is getting to Buttons. Now she just sits on the edge of my bed and glares at me. It's a little disconcerting...

I love classes, I do, even though I feel like I spend every waking hour studying. Buuuut... I am already looking forward to our winter break! Okay, yes, it is ages away, but it's already giving me something to look forward to.

So, who wants to help me with Potions study Potions with me? I can promise that there will be homemade pastries, courtesy of my mother's family!
